Willie Carson, born on November 16, 1942, in Stirling, Scotland, is a legendary jockey celebrated for his exceptional career in horse racing. 

With a career spanning over three decades, Carson won 17 British Classic Races and was British Champion Jockey five times. 

Notable victories include the Epsom Derby and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. 

After riding over 3,800 winners in Great Britain, Carson retired in 1996 and transitioned into a successful racehorse trainer and TV commentator. Honoured with an OBE in 1983, his legacy in horse racing remains unparalleled.
